All dogs in the City of Providence must have a city license.
This is not the same as the rabies license you get from your vet. Call
Providence Animal Control at 401.243.6040, x2022 to get the details.
Licenses are $5.00 unless you have a "bully breed"... their license
will cost a bit more. Be sure to ask about the payment method... you
might need a CASHIER'S CHECK, depending on where you pick up your license.
From time to time, Providence Animal Control makes random visits to the Gano Street Park. If your dog is not properly licensed, you could be ticketed and fined.
